ABOUT THE SOCIETY
Qatar Society of Dermatology & Dermatologic Surgery.
The Qatar Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery (QSDDS) is a professional medical society operating under the Qatar Medical Association. It brings together dermatologists, dermatologic surgeons, laser and aesthetic medicine specialists, researchers, and educators to strengthen dermatology practice in Qatar and the region.

OUR MISSION:
1 – Professional Education & Development
Foster ongoing medical education, training, and professional development for dermatologists and allied specialists. The society supports scientific meetings, workshops, and large conferences (such as Qatar Derma) to share the latest research and technologies from around the world.
2 – Public Awareness & Skin Health Advocacy
Raise public awareness about skin diseases, prevention strategies, and early detection-especially for serious conditions like skin cancer. For example, QSDDS organizes campaigns offering skin screenings, educational materials, and practical prevention advice to the community.
3 – Promote Research & Innovation
Encourage dermatologic research and scientific exchange, helping Qatar integrate new evidence and innovations into clinical practice. This aligns with broader efforts to build local expertise that meets international standards of dermatology.
